静电喷涂是使涂料带上负电荷，并让被涂物接地。当带有负高电压的涂料被喷向被涂物时，由于静电感应，被涂物表面产生正电荷，于是在涂装机器与被涂物之间形成一条条喷涂的轨迹。在静电引力的作用下，涂料附着于被涂物表面，而负电荷通过接地放电。
